I told myself I was gonna write everyday

clearly, that was a mistake.

[Noun] [Verb] Pirate Ninja.

[Noun] [Verb] Bacon.

There’s something about writing where you just run out of ideas, and the advice that you should just “write whatever” and then edit it later feels really hollow.

In my head, I think it’s easier to wait for inspiration and then write then, it’s not as if your fingers will forget how to type.

On the other hand is something I call the “Solja Boy” problem. Solja Boy records his hit album on his laptop, and goes multiplatinum shortly thereafter. But Where’s the followup album? It’s here that we find out that he’s a one hit wonder, who wasn’t able to hone his skills and make crap before the big hit, he made the hit first, so there’s no incentive to improve, or perspective.

Thus, the idea that the path to success is paved with failures.
